2011 Spay Day at Westgate Pet Clinic

Minnesota Spay Neuter Project, in collaboration with Pet Haven, held another feline spay/neuter event at Westgate Clinic on Sunday, April 17th. We were able to sterilize 33 cats from low-income community residents and provide rabies and distemper vaccinations, as well as microchips.

Through the combined efforts of Pet Haven and MSNP, over 5000 dogs and cats from low-income households have been spayed or neutered.

More information about the event is posted on Pet Haven's blog.

Petition to Keep Humane Undercover Investigations Legal

Two weeks ago, Minnesota Voters for Animal Protection reported on two bills introduced in the Minnesota Legislature that would ban undercover humane investigations.

The bills would make it a crime to take video without an owner’s consent in factory farms and puppy mills in Minnesota, as well as to possess or distribute the images.

You can help by signing this petition from the Minnesota Voters for Animal Protection to help keep undercover humane investigations legal in the state of Minnesota.

The Minnesota Spay/Neuter Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. More specifically, we educate the general public about the benefits of spaying and neutering companion animals and in an effort to end pet overpopulation and suffering, we provide to qualifying households free sterilization, microchip, and vaccinations against distemper and rabies.

We want to continue to help people with their pets.  Here are some ways you can help us:
