Minnesota Spay/Neuter Project has been very active in using the funds we received from Chuck & Don’s  Pins for Pets Bowl for the Fix fundraiser.

We partnered with Pet Haven on their Spay/Neuter Initiative to spay/neuter 266 cats and dogs with our sponsor clinics.

We held  two  one-day spay/neuter events  for  50 cats at Silver Lake Animal Hospital and for 30 cats at Westgate Pet Clinic.

Spay Day at Westgate Pet Clinic

MSNP organized another “Spay Day” event on March 21st, 2010 at the Westgate Pet Clinic where 30 feline clients were successfully spayed/neutered. One of those beautiful cats who came through the doors that morning was Delilah, a snuggly 3-year old. Delilah’s guardians found her and her brother abandoned in a cardboard box on the side of the road in 2007. She was only 3 weeks old. Being life-long animal lovers, Delilah’s kind guardians rescued the siblings and nursed them back to health then found a good home for her brother. Delilah easily settled in and became an adored member of the family. She quickly grew, and before long, began sneaking outside in the evenings. Well… one thing led to another, and Miss Delilah soon ended up with a belly full of kittens. This happened not once, not twice, but three times! Delilah’s guardians knew they couldn’t let it happen again but were unable to afford the standard veterinary rates. They searched the Internet for a local low-cost spay/neuter program and found Minnesota Spay Neuter Project. Because of our assistance, Miss Delilah will no longer bring another batch of kittens into the world, and we are extremely grateful we had the resources to help.

The Minnesota Spay/Neuter Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization organized exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. More specifically, we educate the general public about the benefits of spaying and neutering companion animals and in an effort to end pet overpopulation and suffering, we provide to qualifying households free sterilization, microchip, and vaccinations against distemper and rabies.

We want to continue to help people with their pets.  Here are some ways you can help us:
